My mission as an artist is to use my expression and presence to bring inspiration and healing to others. As a performer, I strive to connect deeply with my own musical and spiritual resonance and create a container of augmented experience for the listener. I am a classically trained violin and viola player, holding performance degrees from New England Conservatory and Northwestern University. I have collaborated closely with luminaries of the classical world including Yo-Yo Ma, Midori, Kim Kashkashian, and many others. I have held positions as Principal Viola of the Hudson Philharmonic, in the Hartford Symphony, the Albany Symphony, the Sarasota Opera Orchestra, and the Penninsula Music Festival Orchestra. As a chamber musician, I have traveled to southeast Asia in the International Community Engagement Quartet with violinist Midori.
My original offerings take the form of songs, raps, chants, improvisations, dance, and poetry. My performances and rituals bring together my extensive training as an instrumentalist with an innate connection to ceremonial, spiritual, and creative embodiment. I want to help create a world of fully realized creative beings who have learned to integrate the mind, body, and spirit through playful surrender to the moment. I believe that the medicine of music and movement experienced in community can help to heal our separations - from ourselves, from each other, and from the earth.
